I don't use it.  On a fresh edgy install just before Christmas, mine was
supported right away - avoiding the hard work I went to to set it up last
year.  Some people have indeed been unable to use it without 915resolution,
but it _is_ an ugly hack and should be used only as a last resort.

Indeed, but I don't think it's worth messing with run-time kernel patches -
which is what this seems to be - if there are other alternatives.
