I have written a little script to have simple one-command backup with
rdiff-backup. rdiff-backup is cool especially if you have no space
issues and if you have lots of data that compresses badly anyway.

A warning to everyone using external USB drives for backup: be aware of
this bug and please add any info you might have for making it
reproducible: https://launchpad.net/bugs/85608
