Assuming you still want grub to be boot loader...

Edit /boot/grub/menu.lst

Change "default=0" to "default=# of Windows entry"

e.g

title Linux à entry 0

                blah

title Windows à entry 1

                chainloader +1

Therefore you'll change it to "default=1"

Subject: Default Startup

I want to change the default startup program to Windows (it is Ubuntu at the moment). I want to leave Ubuntu so I can become more familiar with it at a relaxed pace. Although I have searched through Ubuntu to find the Grub (?) screen that allows me to change the default, I can't find it. Can someone please direct me to the Ubuntu documentation that addresses this startup issue?

Thanks,

Edgar Young
