Hi Chris

There's also the deb file which can be located at
http://www.ubuntulabs.devubuntu.com/deb/esword-ubuntu_1.6_all.deb

This one works fine for me. Just installed the deb from my user account then 
went thru applications -> accessories to install esword itself and then the 
modules
