USB audio - anyone used it?

I use an original Griffin iMic (haven't tried later versions) and it 
works perfectly with my Asus S62J "barebones" laptop from EfficientPC, 
running Feisty. In combination with Audacity 1.3.2 from GetDeb, 
conversion of analogue sources is easy and they sound great.
