Ubuntu and sendmail

Which is why the OP hasn't received any other responses about sendmail.  It
just isn't worth the effort to install it, when there are at least two SMTP
packages that are much easier and just as powerful (Postfix & Exim) with
better support on Ubuntu & Debian.
