security updates for releasename-updates repository?

This is the purpose of the -security repository:
* security updates will be released in ${releasename}-security
repository
* updates that are not security-related will appear in
${releasename}-updates

So you need to have both repositories enabled.

Note that you won't see any new updates in either -updates or -security
once the release has reached end-of-life.

Also, packages that are in universe or multiverse are less likely to be
updated than packages that are in main/restricted.  And packages from
third-party repositories rely on the upgrade policy of the repository
maintainers :)
