ubuntu/kubuntu is sloooooooow!

I think there is no need to be arrogant! I never intented to begin a 
flame war. What I told you was my experience on the systems I gave a 
try. I never wanted to "sway users away from ubu". Just the opposite, I 
want Ubuntu to become a faster ans more responsive distro, not a 
sluggish one , so that it attracts more people to the linux world.

Your experiences may vary, and this normal. It is clear that many people 
complain the same problems I mentioned.

You might say if you don't like ubuntu try others or windows. Yes I can 
do that easily, and am doing that (actually I don't use winOS at least 
2yrs.) But a major player in desktop arena should not overlook their 
users view.
