Problems with suspend on a fresh install

No, I had suspend working fine in my previous install, which was also
Feisty. Since the reinstall it does not work as expected.

After some testing, it seems that KDE is password-protecting the
screen when it goes down for suspend. How can I disable that
'feature'? I think that this will solve the problem.
