weather panel app can't get weather

I just checked switching to a couple of different locations on mine, and it
works, so it must be my location.
Is there anything I can do about this?
I wonder what kind of weather service this applet uses that doesn't have
current conditions for my area, since every online weather site (weather.com,
accuweather, intellicast, etc.) that I know of does.  Is there a way to
change where the applet gets its weather data from?
