I also agree with using Ubuntu.  Kubuntu can be more complex.  Compare
SoundConverter to SoundKonverter.  Both do the same thing but SoundKonverter
can be confusing unless you are into the K mindset.  BTW, I use
SoundKonverter on Ubuntu so you can get the best of both worlds also.
