Dear list,
Upgraded to feisty fawn from edgy eft. Used .gconf from edgy eft. As
audiosink esdsink is entered with gconf-editor for both music and audio.
Starting rhythmbox. Hitting Volume up/down brings new transparent
loudspeaker popping up. volume slider in tray changes volume. The volume
slider in rhythmbox doesn't move at all. Volume that is heard over
stereo doesn't change at all. Same behaviour in totem. Any ideas? Thanks
in advance. Cheers.
Somebody told me:
what you described sounds like your main volume control is
set to a different channel to rhythmbox. Since this isn't a bug per-say,
for further advise in how to solve your problem I suggest you use the
support mailing list ubuntu-users at list.ubuntu.com
Well here I am. I tried every single setting I could find in
system->settings->audio
But the rhythmbox volume resides where it is though hammering on the
volume up/down keys of my keyboard. The volume tray icon changes, but
not the one of rhythmbox.
Does anybody know, which volume control rhythmbox is using? I heard it
is a gstreamer thing. And my gstreamer settings for rhythmbox are
esdsink host=192.168.1.1
But even if I change this to alsa nothing happens. I thought it was a bug.
Well, please help.
Cheers.
