Works just fine in FF 2.0.0.3
I just tested by uploading (ftp) a common html file to a remote server,
deleted the .html extension on the file, and then linked in via Firefox
and SeaMonkey (1.1.1)- both worked just fine. FF & SM recognized the
file, served up the webpage - no problems.
I suspect that your problem may be with your apache2 server. Could it be
that the server is serving up the file as text rather than html?
