Forcing update-manager to display dist upgrade info ?

Hi,

This morning when I booted Edgy 6.10 I was intending to update to
Feisty. The update-manager displayed that Feisty was available and the
upgrade button was showing but I also noticed a newer version of
update-manager was available 0.45.3

So obviously the best thing to do one would think is to update the
update-manager first before continuing the upgrade. Except now that I
have updated the update-manager it no longer displays there is a new
dist available hence the subject of this message.

I also ran update-manager -c from the command line but that doesn't
show an available update either.

Any ideas ?
