OpenOffice saving as .zip

Open OO and go to Tools>Options
Expand "Load/Save" and click on "General"

You will see a list on the right for "Default File Format"
Pick "OpenDocument Text" for "Text Document", etc...

Then try and see if it is fixed - if not, there is something strange going
on...:)
