problem with upgrade to edgy ubuntu

Hi Ruihua,

You can certainly do a fresh install as there isn't anything you want 
on the current system.
You may want to consider waiting a bit as Feisty Ubuntu V7.04 is due 
out on the 19th.
The problem you experienced is because I believe you need to upgrade 
in sequence.  So, rather than going from 5.10 to 6.10, you should go 
from 5.10 to 6.04 and then to 6.10.
