That might not solve all your problems, but /etc/udev/rules.d/10-wacom.rules
was deprecated. Check you have a wacom rule with a number 65 in
/etc/udev/rules.d/ and delete /etc/udev/rules.d/10-wacom.rules
You can also try moving /etc/udev/rules.d/10-udev.rules to your home
folder and check if the system still works ok (hopefully works better :)
On Feisty installed from scratch, both files doesn't exits (actually,
there's no rule starting with 10 in /etc/udev/rules.d/
