Installing Ubuntu on a HP DV2000 Laptop

Hi,
Has anyone installed Ubuntu 6.06 on their HP DV2000 Laptop? What happens to
the default quick play and single click DVD play options? Secondly are the
modems, network cards etc supported by Ubuntu 6.06 on this laptop. I did
browse through the Hardware support wiki but couldn't identify any
experiences or suggestions for the HP DV2000 Laptop configuration with
Ubuntu?
