Dapper: 100% CPU when idle SOLVED???

upgraded to Dapper last night and my worst fears were not met. Cool, looks like the bug has been fixed as the upgrade process was exactly the same my previous attempt.

Well happy and faith renewed in ubuntu. 

>From initial thoughts, it could be that the cpu is being used more efficiently than b4. Now that's 'ironique' :D

 A few people had the problem, I could go through the archives and find them for you if youl ike. It affected the 686 I think, as opposed to the 386. 


Mine idles at between 0% and 5% (although I'm not sure how 0% is possible). I'm running Dapper with the i686 kernel.
