Good point. The default distribution media should be a DVD - for starters.
After using Ubuntu for a year I defected to SUSE because it provided
development tools and libraries that allowed me to compile stuff - the
kernel for example. I returned to Ubuntu when found a DVD version on a
magazine cover-disk.
It seems odd that the assumption is, apparently, that 'human beings' are
more likely to have broadband Internet than a DVD reader. Perhaps that is
the situation, but I'm not going to even look at 7.07 until I can find it
on DVD.
