flashplugin-nonfree installation error code (1)

I also had the problem. So i chose the version on the multiverse repo
rather than backports (v.7.0.63.3ubuntu3 rather than bp's
v7.0.68~ubuntu1~dapper1)

This solved the problem. (to chose, or rather 'force' a version,
highlight the package in synaptic, then chose 'Package' menu and
'Force Version'...
