how to repair grub using live cd

thanks, all the files from my ubuntu should be there. i dont know why, but
when i installed ubuntu it decided to put gurb or a seperated physical hdd
instead of the hdd i was installing it to. i was in hurry & just accepted
the defaults so just pressed next, next...

thanks ill try fix my grob by doing what you said there :)
