Make it even easier. Copy a file browser launcher to the desktop or
toolbar. Go into the new launcher's properties and prefix the command
with "gksudo". The command is on the "Basic" tab for a toolbar launcher,
on the "Launcher" tab for a desktop launcher.

Wrap the rest of the command in double quotes, so the whole thing ends
up looking like this:

   gksudo "nautilus --no-desktop --browser %U"

Click the close button. Now you are just one click (and a password) away
from a root file browser.

You might like to add an emblem to the icon to warn you that the thing
is dangerous ;-)

Regards, K.
