apt problem

All-

Well, this morning, I got a scary error when the package manager
tried to check for updates. It suggested that I try to run it
manually, so I did. This is the error I got:

  Reading package lists... Error!
E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/apt/lists/us.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_dapper_universe
_binary-i386_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

Yikes!

The list is kinda huge, so looking for the problem by hand
could take hours, and apt didn't give me a line number...

Any help would be appreciated.
