Installation of dvdrip..problems

Hi folks



While trying to install an updated version of dvdrip......I managed to
remove the working ubuntu package. When I tried to reinstall.....it had
disappeared. 

Using Automatix also failed. In both cases I obtained the message
below.



Package dvdrip is not available, but is referred to by another
package.

This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

is only available from another source

E: Package dvdrip has no installation candidate





Would appreciate some guidance on how to get it back.
