Remote control of a users system

I am setting up another trial ubuntu system for the local school system.
I need to set up some type of software where the IT Admin can log into
the end users system and help them if they have trouble. 

There is a piece of software that I think was developed by AT&T
orginally to do just this, but I cant remember the name of it. Obviously
though I need something that will run Windows and Ubuntu.
