I think they do for me too.  The problem seems to be that something is
causing two acpi calls together, once every 30 seconds.  As a result, 
acpid and gnome-power-manager think I've pressed suspend and they start to
suspend the laptop.  I can see this with acpi_listen.

	.... etc.

Two new lines appear together every 30 seconds.  If anyone knows what might
cause this or how to track it down, I'm all ears/eyes.  For now I've had to
disable sleep.sh so it doesn't suspend.
