after dapper->edgy on dell latitude l400: system keeps suspending after 5 secs

I have Kubuntu Edgy working fine on an L400.  It was a new install and not an 
upgrade, so I doubt I have much useful advice.  Just wanted to let you know 
that the hardware does work with Edgy.  

For me, suspend/restore and hibernate/restore worked out of the box.
