dbus, hal errors

When I login I get a couple error message popups.

    Internal Error
       failed to initialize HAL!

    Power Manager
       This program cannot start until you start the dbus system
       service.

       It is strongly recommended you reboot the computer after
       starting messagebus.

But the following excerpts from:  pstree -A
look normal:
