The OOOBase behaviour you mentioned is a bug, I believe.  I experienced the 
same thing, but only on occasion.  Sometimes I could get multitudinous lines 
of data input and other times I could not get past just a few.  I never did 
figure out the 'why' of   it working, finally, but just stopped using it.

Waiting for the next release.
