correction -- the documentation clearly states the default is FALSE.
Sorry about that.
Also, if you create the file then change a few settings in the
terminal, it will create the MiscBell=FALSE line, so all you have to
do is edit that to TRUE.
But again, if you're actually using GNOME terminal, the bell option is
exposed in the GUI under Profiles.
