In what way ? The only thing where I may have been confusing, is that I first I thought that you had to use explicetely the "radeon" driver to get 3D, but apparently as you said (and you are right... I have just witnessed it on Dapper as well!), using the default "ati" driver (which is wrapper and contains "radeon", as I understand it), is enough.
At any rate, if glxinfo reports that DRI is working, then it's working, period ;-)

Ah ! I still have not managed to cough the cash to buy one ! But since LCD monitors are hopeless, and the very promising "SED" technology (basically flat CRT's, if that makes sense ! ;-) is constantly delayed and it's not yet clear if it's suitable for manufacturing computer monitor (so far they have only managed TV screens, not good enough for computer screens !), well since CRT's won't have a good enough replacement for a few years to come at best, it's definitely worth investing/buying a good Samsung CRT to keep me going in the meantime !
I just need a little money, but money is so scarce these days... even 100 Euros feel like 100,000.... :-/
