Radeon 9250 in Ubuntu

Vince, your explanation has left me confused. I installed a Radeon 9250 
in Dapper last week. I installed the Dapper ati driver (not the Radeon), 
but when I enter
glxinfo | grep rendering
it says "direct rendering: Yes"

This seems to contradict what you're saying?

PS I'm still using the Samsung 753DFX monitor we discussed previously.
