Unneeded font packages

I've set up an Edgy Ubuntu system with limited resources:

limited RAM - 192M
slow CPU - PII-350
limited HD space - 3.4G / and 2.6G /home

Since it will be used in an English only environment, I wish to limit the
overhead of the Asian and African font packages. Is there some metapackage
that can be removed to eliminate them, and then black listed so that they
aren't reinstalled at upgrade time?
