Adding XCircuit to desktop menu

Didn't create a menu item for me. I think the apps are meant to have a
.desktop file, xcircuit doesn't appear to have. It does have an entry
in /usr/share/menu though. It looks like it should be under graphics.
Is there a command for refreshing the menu config? one of the man
pages suggests looking up update-menus, but no such program exists (or
manual page for that matter)
You can of course use the menu editor to add an entry.

Did you try looking for: /usr/share/icons/xcircuit-icon.xpm ?
