Why? This has nothing to do with the operating system, this is about the
way websites transfer data. If they use good encryption and if we onlt
trust websites with good encryption then I don't see what the problem
is.

The reason id theft is so prevalent for windows users is that it's to
easy to get inside a windows machine and see what they're sending out.
Oh, and it doesn't help much that Windows Firewall doesn't prevent any
virus you have from sending out your private data.
