Nvidia driver version mis-match keeps X from running

All I can say is hardware failure.  It happens. 

All I did was plug in a new nVidia Gforce FX5200( $47 including shipping 
from globalcomputer.com) and everything was fine.  No more random hang 
ups.  Same driver( of course! ).

I can run all my favorite 3d games(planet penguin racer).  :-) 
I hate hardware(when it fails).
