Dapper: Unable to burn cds using cdrecord

Hello,

I've some trouble getting cdrecord to work with dapper, I don't believe
it's a buffer underrun proplem. Mounting a cdrom is possible using
/dev/scd0, so
I guess it's the right device.

:1> ls -al /dev/cdrom /dev/scd0 /dev/sr0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      4 Oct 11 20:10 /dev/cdrom -> scd0
brw-rw---- 1 root cdrom 11, 0 Oct 11 20:10 /dev/scd0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root      4 Oct 11 20:10 /dev/sr0 -> scd0

=> The user is member of group cdrom so should be able to acces
/dev/scd0 rw.

I'm using current dapper version of cdrecord:

:1> apt-cache policy cdrecord
cdrecord:
  Installed: 4:2.01+01a01-4ubuntu6
  Candidate: 4:2.01+01a01-4ubuntu6
  Version table:
 *** 4:2.01+01a01-4ubuntu6 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com dapper/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Cdrecord -scanbus reports correct device:

Trying to burn some test image results in an error. The image was
created by mkisofs and is mountable by loopback device:
