apt-get distro-upgrade

Has anyone tried this? As much time as I have spent getting everything installed, configured, downloaded, and working right, I do not want to do it again. It sounds buggy to me, but how good does it work? Does it leave out any changes? My plan is to go from Breezy Badger 6.06 to Edgy Eft 6.10. Does it work as good as installing a Edgy Eft from a cd? Sorry I ask a lot of questions. Thanks.
