Hi

Jordan:
If you need to a send a mail about a new topic, don't reply to an
unrelated email.
Many people use "email threading" it means your email appeared as a
reply to something about flash video and something about keynote.

As well as confusing people it may have been overlooked by someone who
could help

Its got to copy and decompress an entire operating system from CD,
depending on your processor and CD read speed it could take a while.

have you tried the help pages:
https://help.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/serverguide/C/index.html (Server Guide)
https://help.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/desktopguide/C/index.html (Desktop Guide)
available in PDF from: https://help.ubuntu.com/

have you tried this link:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation

Also what version are you installing? (5.10 Breezy (kind of old), 6.06
LTS (current), Edgy (development))
Is it the server or desktop version?
Is it the right version for your architecture, (installing the Sparcs
version on an x86 for instance wouldn't work)
If you don't know these, then just tell us whats written on the CDs case.

Just noticed Ubuntu now do DVDs, labeled PC and Mac, it's probably a
stupid question but is it a CD or DVD you have?
