I could not get the 2.2.0 working so I went back to the 2.0.0.

Try specifying the directory where you iscan libraries are in /etc/ld.so.conf
(see 'man ldconfig').  I see there is a /etc/ld.so.conf and /etc/ld.so.conf.d
on my Debian system, but not on the Ubuntu one although the Ubuntu
manpage for ldconfig refers to /etc/ld.so.conf.
