openoffice.org: Cannot edit some tables

I have a MySql 4.1 database using unixodbc 2.2.11-libuild1
When I connect to one of my databases in my mysqlinstance I can edit the data
within some tables but not for others.

Also when I select EDIT I get a description of the tables but all fields are deselected (grey)
