Well, to me the Toshiba sounds just more desirable in general.. And
chances are that it works fine.   (Just googled and it works on the
Tecra A6... So why not Tecra A8? )

To be absolutely sure, get on your bike to a computer shop that stocks
one and load the CD.. if it boots up and shows the desktop then you can
be reasonably sure that things will work.
