dependancy problems since Edgy upgrade

Greetings all,

A series of minor errors were reported during a dist upgrade (took forever
too, huh? Broadband connection and 14 hours later still upgrading ...) end
result is a good functioning desktop, but errors in several areas, notably
exim4, tripwire and rkhunter. Mutt also hosed, but it always is due to
other issues with configuration ...

Here is what I get on attempting to configure exim4 which - according to
apt-get and synaptic - is installed. I had removed exim4, then reinstalled
via apt-get, not wishing to use synaptic which - last time I tried with
ssmtp and exim, resulted in both packages being broken.

It seems clear what is wrong, but what is not clear is how to fix it. Hours
later, and here I am to see if anyone here has a good idea for fixing it?

All the best to all
