When will we have a clipboard that works?

Works for me. I open gedit, select a line of text, copy it to the
clipboard, close gedit, and I can paste it anywhere.

I do it all the time. I select the url already there, right-click, and
select "paste"...works every time.

What exactly are you doing that is not working?
