xend does not start

Hey

I did install xen on my new Laptop (Centrinio Dual Core, Ubuntu Edgy,
6.10) following this instructions
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/XenVirtualMachine/XenOnUbuntuEdgy.

And it looks like xend does not start. When I run ps ax |grep xen just
after boot, I get this:
thomas at LAPI01:~$ ps ax |grep xen
    12 ? S< 0:00 [xenwatch]
    13 ? S< 0:00 [xenbus]
  4707 ? S 0:00 /bin/sh /etc/rc2.d/S20xend start
  4710 ? S 0:00 python /usr/sbin/xend start
  4718 ? D 0:00 xenstored --pid-file /var/run/xenstore.pid
  4940 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep xen
thomas at LAPI01:~$

So, it looks like the start script for xend does not return, thus xend
is not starting.

I could not find anything useful in the logs :-(

Any advise how to check this problem?

Thanks, Thomas
