Ubuntu has corrupted my file !

I don't have the start of this thread anymore, but I can see it's gone
on for a while. If the fault is in OOo and the corrupt file is an Open
Document Format file then relax! It's all in plain text inside. Open the
archive manager and point it to the file - open the archive and find the
most important files, probably 'content.xml'. Throw those important bits
into the same place in a new blank OOo file and try to open it. It's
worked ofr me before.
Just send it to me if you can't make that work.
