Azureus crashes on edgy with sun-java5-jre

Azureus is too much of a resource hog, even on my semi-recent fast box.
 I prefer Ktorrent.

But to satisfy my curiosity I installed Azureus from the repo. Then I
launched it from a terminal.  As I was being walked through the
preferences settings it crashed after I got to the settings for my
download speed.

Here was the response:

Since you had no problem with your local install it sounds to me like
there's a bug in the Ubuntu package.

I'd stick with what you have if it's working.
