install a kde app on ubuntu

OK, I accidentally replaced Kubuntu's (KDE) desktop with Ubuntu's (Gnome) desktop doing an update.
really want to get the KDE version back. I HAVE  the KDE Desktop installed, just can't find a way
to start it up. How do I do that?
