Quit... bypasses the logout dialog

i don't know the answer to your question, since i have also the
problem, that the button "Log Out" logs me directly out and i am at the
login screen again. (5.10)



BUT you can make a button which shuts the system down (since that's the
option most commonly needed). the kommand is:

    shutdown -h now
--------------------


-h is for hibernate i think. for more options just make "man shutdown".
It's got a lot of options.
